I’m the rare person who doesn’t like banana bread. I like bananas, and I like bread, but banana bread? It just doesn’t work for me. Zucchini bread is where it’s at, and a couple of years ago I discovered apple bread. It’s fantastic. It’s delicious. It’s a great addition to your fall menus!
I use a variety of apples that are ranked “good for baking” and flavorful to give the bread a unique flavor. No 2 loaves will be quite the same. Apple bread is a little sweet, a little cinnamon-y, and a lot fantastic. It recently received a rating of 9.5 out of 10 – and that was a loaf I’d accidentally burned the bottom of! Yeah, my co-workers get the castoffs, but so far they don’t seem to mind too much…
